Paint has been recycled on a small scale in the United States since at least the early 1990’s, and perhaps earlier. Today, there are a handful of paint recyclers around the country each doing their vital part to keep our landfills free of a proven recyclable resource. Many of these recyclers are operated by our friends. The challenge has been that only a small portion of the population gets the benefit of these great services.
A Fresh Approach
After many years of close collaboration with paint recyclers and manufacturers, The Paint Exchange was started by small business owners to make paint recycling services available to everyone, while still empowering and valuing local business ownership. Each location of The Paint Exchange is locally owned and operated, because no one is more committed to your community than the very people who call it home.
By increasing public awareness, sharing best practices, and continuously refining products and processes, The Paint Exchange reduces costs, effectively stewards environmental concerns, promotes small and local businesses, and improves quality.
